- तालुक्यातील सांगवीतांडा येथील प्राथमिक व माध्यमिक आश्रम शाळेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी थ्रो बाॅल स्पर्धेत घवघवीत यश संपादन केले आहे. १४ वर्ष वयोगटातील संघाने जिल्ह्यात प्रथम क्रमांक पटकावत विभागीय स्पर्धेसाठी पात्र झाला आहे.
तर याच शाळेतील १७ वर्ष वयोगटातील संघाने जिल्ह्यात द्वितीय क्रमांक मिळवला आहे.
महात्मा गांधी महाविद्यालयाच्या मैदानावर पार पडलेल्या जिल्हास्तरीय थ्रो बाॅल स्पर्धेत विजय मिळवून विभागीय स्पर्धेसाठी १४ वर्ष वयोगटातील संघ यशस्वी ठरला तर १७ वर्ष वयोगटातील संघास जिल्ह्यात दुसरा आला आहे.
या दोन्ही संघातील खेळाडूंना विजयकुमार कोतवाड,
,अजय मिटकरे, पंकज आडे, मुख्याध्यापक स्वाती कदम यांचे मार्गदर्शन लाभले.या त्यांच्या यशाबद्दल यशवंत भटके मागास जनसेवा मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष डॉ.पांडुरंग टोंपे,सचिव शोभाताई टोंपे, कोषाध्यक्ष डाॅ.अश्विनीताई टोंपे-माळवे, उपाध्यक्ष विनोद गुंठे,डाॅ.अपर्णा टोंपे-सरगर , मुख्याध्यापक महानंदा गोरगे,,विलास पडिले, रामचंद्र जवणे, विद्युलत्ता घोगरे,नरसिंग सांगवीकर,रामचंद्र बाबळसरे,वंदना कदम, मनोज नरवटे,गणेश जाधव, शरद राठोड, बबीता यादव,ज्ञानोबा व्हटमुर्गे,अक्षय फुले,सुनिता राठोड,सिद्धेश्वर राठोड, सचिन येचाळे, लक्ष्मी राजगे,सोनू शेळके,लता सोळंके आदींनी अभिनंदन केले आहे.
