माहिती कायद्याची आमलबजावणी प्रथमता स्वीडनमध्ये 1766 साली झाली. त्यानंतर सबंध जगामध्ये भारत हा माहिती चा कायदा लागू करणारा 54 वा देश असल्याचे सांगून या माहितीच्या अधिकारामुळे देश आणि राज्यातील कामे अत्यंत पारदर्शी होऊन त्यात शासनाच्या महसूलाची मोठया प्रमाणात वाढ झालेली आहे. त्यामुळे येणाऱ्या काळात प्रशासन अधिक पारदर्शी होण्यासाठी माहितीच्या अधिकारा ची जनजागृती व्हावी असे आग्रही प्रतिपादन यशवंत विद्यालयाचे पर्यवेक्षक राम तत्तापूरे यांनी केले.
ते दि 28 सप्टेंबर रोजी आयोजित राज्य परिवहन आगारात आंतरराष्ट्रीय माहिती अधिकार दिनाच्या सोहळ्यात प्रमुख मार्गदर्शक म्हणून बोलत होते.
कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी आगार प्रमुख अमर पाटील, व्यासपीठावर प्रमुख अतिथी म्हणून वाहतूक निरीक्षक भरत केदासे,वरीष्ट लिपिक योगेश भंगारे, हेड मेकॅनिक व्यंकट ठाकूर यांच्यासह मान्यवरांची उपस्थिती होती.
यावेळी पुढे बोलताना राम तत्तापूरे म्हणाले की, माहितीचा अधिकार भारतीय राज्यघटनेत मूलभूत अधिकार म्हणून समाविष्ट केला नसला तरी कलम 91( 1)(अ) अन्वये अभिव्यक्ती आणि भाषण स्वातंत्र्याच्या मूलभूत अधिकाराचे संरक्षण करतो असे त्यांनी सांगितले.
सोहळ्याचा अध्यक्षीय समारोप आगार व्यवस्थापक अमर पाटील यांच्या भाषणाने झाला.
कार्यक्रमाचा शुभारंभ भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या प्रतिमेच्या पूजनाने करण्यात आला.

या सोहळ्याला राज्य परिवहन आगारातील कर्मचारी मेकॅनिक आणि प्रवासी बांधव मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उपस्थित होते.
कार्यक्रम यशस्वी करण्यासाठी राज्य परिवहन आगारातील कर्मचाऱ्यांनी विशेष परिश्रम घेतले.
